Java classes are compiled into Dalvik executables and run on Dalvik, a specialized virtual machine designed specifically for Android. By now Android supports more than 250000 apps worldwide. And now that Android is having the features like Multi-Touch, Multi-Tasking, Tethering, Multiple Human Language Support, Voice actions for Calling, Texting, Navigation, etc. it draws customers to a greater extent.
